Community Information Session on Soda Springs Cannabis Dispensary Selection Process

Nevada County is inviting community members to an information session on July 2 in Soda Springs to learn about the application review and permitting process for a potential cannabis dispensary in Soda Springs. Anyone interested is encouraged to attend to learn more and have their questions answered.
In November 2024, the Board of Supervisors approved a competitive application review and permitting process for the unincorporated areas of Soda Springs and North San Juan. Later this year, interested applicants will be able to apply for a discretionary Use Permit to operate a dispensary in one of these two areas.
The community information session will focus on:
Cannabis dispensary application and permitting process.
The role of the Commercial Cannabis Dispensary Application Evaluation Committee.
How dispensary applicants will be reviewed and scored.
Next steps in the applicant selection process.
