Employees, Pesticides and Commercial Cannabis
May 29 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Hosted by the Nevada County Department of Agriculture, Weights and Measures
This training is ideally for commercial cannabis growers who want additional review for how to train their employees.
Any employees that are going to handle (mix or apply) or possibly be exposed as fieldworkers (including contract labor within 30 days of a pesticide application), must be trained prior to possible exposure. This class will review what you, the owner / operator need to know to meet the regulatory requirement for pesticide training.
We will review the laws and regulations governing pesticide use as they relate to employees, how to become a certified trainer for your operation, review the necessary training forms and support materials.
There is no charge for this training. There will be a powerpoint presentation, handouts, and time for Q&A. There will be another class focusing on the ag department process of the commercial cannabis application on May 22; you will need to register for that class separately: https://forms.gle/rqLGgDmjXB1am5Mv8

Event Address: Empire Room, 950 Maidu Avenue, Nevada City (upstairs in the main Rood Center)
