HEALING THROUGH HARMONY
The awareness gained from having an Ayurvedic consultation allows one to create balance and harmony, thus avoiding the onset of symptoms. If you are already ill, Ayurveda helps you to create the optimum environment in your body for healing to take place! Ayurveda will help you feel better about life and have greater energy and enthusiasm.
Ayurveda views health and disease as the end result of how we interact with our environment. Harmonious interactions lead to health while dis- harmonious interactions lead to disease and addiction. Ayurveda is the science of developing greater harmony with our environment through all of our senses.
According to Ayurveda, we create and recreate our state of health each day based upon how we interact with the world, in terms of our beliefs, perceptions, thoughts, and feelings. Which then ultimately determine our actions. Actions in harmony with our inner nature create health and recovery, while those dis-harmonious with our inner nature create disease.
Your inner nature is called your constitution or Prakruti. This unique balance of energy was determined at the moment of conception and is with you the rest of your life. It determines what is in harmony with your nature and what will cause you to become out of balance, sick, and diseased. Knowledge of your constitution is essential to developing optimal health. Your constitution determines how you react to triggers.
Important goals of Ayurveda is to identify a person’s unique Prakriti- Ideal state of balance, determine patterns of imbalance (vikriti), and offer interventions using suitable diet, herbs, aromatherapy, pancha-karma, body therapies, yoga and meditation to reestablish inner balance and harmony.
During your Ayurvedic consultation, we will address your health and concerns from a physical, emotional and spiritual perspective. Integrating the theoretical framework of Ayurveda and modern science, your session will focus as much on you as a unique individual who is facing a health challenge as on the health challenge itself.
During a typical evaluation, your Ayurvedic Health practitioner well take a complete medical and lifestyle history and perform a physical evaluation that looks at the body as both a physical system as well as a field of intelligence – reflecting the needs and choices every person’s life. Based upon this assessment a personalized mind, body and spirit guide will be created, putting you on the path to health and wellness. This will include recommendations for diet, stress management, meditation, yoga, aromatherapy, color therapy, Ayurvedic body therapies and herbal supplements.
