Draft Ordinance Feedback

Dear Alliance Member,

We want to hear from you!!

The Nevada County Cannabis Alliance has worked for almost two years to advocate for a cultivation ordinance that works for most people. The process has not been easy and we have realized some wins and loses along the way. It is important for our organization to advocate in a way that reflects the wishes of our membership, represents a viable path forward towards the regulated marketplace, and protects access to patients locally and statewide.

We are seeking your feedback on the Draft Ordinance that was released May 1st at the Board of Supervisors Meeting. Your input will help us create a blueprint for advocacy moving forward.

The draft ordinance can be found HERE (look for draft ordinance 5.1.18)

Please submit your comments to: info@nccannabisalliance.org and use the below format

  • Reference Number in ordinance (for example: Sec. 1.2 A)
  • Item:
  • Recommendation:
  • Rationale:
  • Reference (if needed)

In addition to emailing us your feedback, please also don’t forget to email or call your supervisor. Also, as a reminder, the Alliance is accepting applications to apply for a board position. Deadline is June 8th.

Don’t forget! The next BOS meeting is May 22nd at the Rood Center (520 Maidu Ave) at 11am. The Board will be voting to adopt the updated urgency ordinance which would allow for temporary permits.

We look forward to hearing from you!
